MELLISSA & BENCE

Mellissa and Bence eloped in Tuscany!
A non-stress Italian “fairy tale” Wedding …

The clouds in Pontassieve scudded across a forget-me-not blue sky, lightly shadowing one of the loveliest views of the beautiful rural landscape of Chianti Rufina, as the ravishing Mellissa – wearing a soft and delicate dress overlaid with white lace forming a plunging neckline and gracefully slim sleeves – tied the knot with Bence in a wedding that could only be described as picture-perfect.
Beijing couple Mellissa and Bence decided to elope in Florence. Mellissa met me in Beijing as i was studying, for a short period of time, Chinese mandarin at the University in the same class of the bride. What a surprise and pure joy for me, on my return back to Florence, when Mellissa announced me that she wanted to get married in Tuscany.

Dreaming Florence choreographed, long distance, the wedding in all details but putting sentimentality at its center and keeping the venue very simple as Mellissa and Bence wanted their story to be their own with “ no stress, just love” The day before the wedding, we all spotted a small flower shop and Mellissa chose some roses and gypsophila to fashion into her bouquet.

On the wedding day, the ceremony – with civil validity – was celebrated in the charming Sala delle Eroine at the City Hall of Pontassieve by the Mayor Monica Marini. The wedding day started to be magic: the moment shared, the vows exchanged, the outpouring of love from passers by as the young couple crossed the famous Renaissance Ponte Mediceo of Pontassieve in full wedding attire, the delicious cappuccino that was offered to them by a barman soon after their “Yes, I do”. All this, will all forever be a memory of the most amazing day of their lives!

Marco Quinti, a remarkable photographer from Florence working for Dreaming Florence, shoot the wedding.
The iconic beauty of the Tuscan countryside provides the most idyllic backdrop for a photo-shooting. Aperitifs followed, served in the enchanting open-air courtyard of the windmill. The wedding lunch took place, in total privacy, inside of the windmill – that was recently renewed based on a project of Leonardo da Vinci – and was composed by a traditional Tuscan organic banquet of local specialties.
Did the elopement end in Florence ??
NO! because on the same evening, the newlyweds took refuge in Capri, another love escape and…

ONE YEAR LATER, on June 25th, 2016 we will meet again our beautiful couple but this time in Budapest, Hungary, native land of Bence, to celebrate with family and friends, coming from all corners of the planet, the religious union of the couple in the Matthias Church. Followed by a reception of great class and elegance on the terrace of the Fisherman’s Bastion offering  to all the guests a breathtaking view of the city with its Danube at sunset. The dances will conclude the celebration of a beautiful story of love!
